Heywood New Deal
This scheme of works began in 2001 and will continue until 2010 and involves the external improvements to occupied properties in Heywood, including roof repair, chimney repointing, servicing gas fires, rainwater replacements, brick cleaning, external painting, cavity wall insulation, new facias and sofits. With our partners, we have agreed on an open bookkeeping method of financial control to drive down costs and to deliver customer service and quality. We have developed a cost matrix which assists all parties to monitor costs and helps with forward planning and budgetary control. A recent external audit, comparing our partnership approach on this scheme against other more traditional methods, resulted in a most complimentary report on our approach, implementation and resulting benefits to the New Deal Partnership compared with the more traditional schemes.
